Who among us does not already know the abbreviation CK alias Calvin Klein! The brand has been on the market since 1968 and was founded by designer Calvin Klein with his childhood friend Barry K. Schwartz. They grew up together in New York's Bronx, in the Jewish community from which also Ralph Lauren came. Klein became a protégé of Baron de Gunzburg, who introduced him to the high society of New York before he could present his first collection of jeans. The designer became a star immediately after his first show at New York Fashion Week.

In 1968, he founded Calvin Klein Limited, a coat store at the York Hotel in New York City, with $10,000. Calvin Klein's first collection was a line of "youthful, understated coats and dresses," featured in the Bonwit Teller store. In September 1969, Klein appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine. The new fashion star gradually evolved from coats to jeans, clothing accessories, watches, perfumes, home accessories, jewelry and shoes. The CK brand has become a household name and brings its "young fashion" style every year.
