The Skechers company was born in the USA in 1992. Its designer is Robert Greenberg, who at one time was one of the founders of the L.A.Gear brand. It was just L.A. Gear and Nike, which dominated the sports fashion market at the time. On the other hand, they lacked a competitor who would dominate "street footwear", i.e. footwear with a sporty spirit but for everyday wear. This gave Greenberg and Skechers new opportunities just after being fired from L.A.Gear.

The new Skechers company was originally supposed to be a distribution network for Dr. Martens. But within a year, Greenberg was focusing on designing, developing and marketing his own unique brand. Here he filled a hole in the market and oriented the business on reaching young modern consumers and informal street fashion.

Today, Skechers is a global brand, based in Manhattan Beach, California, with billions of dollars in sales. They designed more than 3000 stylish models for men, women and children. In Skechers, you can find two categories of shoes: leisure lifestyle shoes, characterized by Memory Foam, ensuring perfect comfort. This includes the BOBS charity line and comfortable Relaxed Fit shoes.

GOrun and GOwalk shoes in the performance category are aimed at sports and performance. These are equipped with technologies for cushioning foot shocks when jumping or running.
